richtet sich an Menschen, die aus beruflichen oder privaten Gründen nach Deutschland migrieren. Es bietet hilfreiche Informationen zum Leben und Arbeiten in Deutschland in 27 Sprachen, verweist auf Beratungsstellen und stellt kostenlose Deutschübungen zur Verfügung.

As a global provider of German courses and exams as well as professional development for teachers of German as a foreign language, the Goethe-Institut actively engages with current trends in foreign language learning.

Study preparation

We offer courses to optimally prepare students for higher education in Germany – academically, linguistically and culturally. Our pre-study courses increase students’ incentive to learn German and in this way attract motivated and qualified professionals to the German labour market.

SCHULWÄRTS!

SCHULWÄRTS! arranges and provides funding for the placement of student teachers at Goethe-Institut partner schools abroad. Student and (prospective) teachers of any school type and subject combination are eligible for placement. Student teachers receive individualized support before, during and after their placement.

Europanetzwerk Deutsch

The Federal Foreign Office and the Goethe-Institut promote the German language in Europe through this impressive scholarship scheme. Europanetzwerk Deutsch is an exemplary project for the European multilingual policy.

“Schulen: Partner der Zukunft (PASCH)” initiative

PASCH is a worldwide network connecting more than 1700 PASCH schools with a particular link to Germany. The Goethe-Institut acts as mentor to around 600 PASCH schools in the national education systems of over 100 countries.

Committee work

The Goethe-Institut is involved in committees and international institutions such as the International Association of Teachers of German.

German minorities

The Goethe-Institut supports German minorities in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia on behalf of the German government by implementing cultural strategies and educational policies.
