The Goethe-Institut’s Studienbrücke programme is specifically designed to prepare students from abroad wishing to embark directly on a course of study in Germany.

Das Webportal: Mein Weg nach Deutschland

richtet sich an Menschen, die aus beruflichen oder privaten Gründen nach Deutschland migrieren. Es bietet hilfreiche Informationen zum Leben und Arbeiten in Deutschland in 27 Sprachen, verweist auf Beratungsstellen und stellt kostenlose Deutschübungen zur Verfügung.


Those who intend to migrate to Germany on a permanent basis for professional or private reasons will receive qualified support to help them prepare.

“Schulen: Partner der Zukunft (PASCH)” initiative

PASCH is a worldwide network connecting more than 1700 PASCH schools with a particular link to Germany. The Goethe-Institut acts as mentor to around 550 PASCH schools in the national education systems of over 100 countries.


Within the scope of our international project we arrange internships for student teachers and young teachers at our partner schools abroad. 

Language and mobility

The language and mobility project develops services for language and intercultural qualifications for immigrants, and provides information and advice on living and working in Germany.

Europanetzwerk Deutsch

The Federal Foreign Office and the Goethe-Institut promote the German language in Europe through this impressive scholarship scheme. Europanetzwerk Deutsch is an exemplary project for the European multilingual policy.

German minorities

The Goethe-Institut supports German minorities in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia on behalf of the German government by implementing cultural strategies and educational policies.

Alumniportal Deutschland

Alumniportal Deutschland is a social network to promote networking between alumni of Germany, companies, universities and organisations.

Deutsch 3.0 – debating language and its future

Deutsch 3.0 is an initiative organised by the Goethe-Institut in collaboration with the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft (Association for the Promotion of Science and Humanities), the Institut für Deutsche Sprache (Institute for the German Language), and Duden.
