Workshop for Qatari illustrators
To foster the development of Qatari children’s literature in Arabic, the Qatar National Library, Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press and the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region establish the “Books - Made in Qatar” project and organize a workshop for ten Qatari children’s book illustrators from 10 to 13 April 2017. The workshop will be conducted by
Ute Krause, one of Germany’s best-known children’s and young adults’ book authors and illustrators.
The participating illustrators will be given a text for a children’s picture book or short chapter book before the workshop. All of these texts are written by Qatari authors who have participated in the workshop for authors in February 2017 with German children’s book author Ute Krause.
