Book Reading with Samar Haddad

The German Embassy Doha and the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region cooperate with the Ministry of Culture and Sports to inform the audience of the Qatari capital on the German book market and present selected books in German, English and Arabic. The Doha International Book Fair takes place at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Centre from 29 November to 5 December 2017. During the fair various talks and presentations will take place as part of a varied program offered by the German institutions.

The Syrian publisher Samar Haddad from Atlas Publishing reads from the books recently translated into Arabic with the translation funds of the Goethe-Institut. "Qatna" by Maria Courant plays in the kingdom of Qatna in ancient Syria in the mid-14th century BC. It's the story of the young and headstrong princess and priestess Kija. Hoppe is a biographic novel by the author Felicitas Hoppe. It is full of emotional situations and fantasies of the life of the author and her quest to unfold the secret of the Identity.
