NAAS-Family Reel: Celebrating the Year of the Family

Tom is ten and different from other children: changes unsettle him, loud noises overwhelm him, and he feels most at home in his world of outer space — often dressed in his astronaut suit. When his mother unexpectedly has totravel to China, Tom is sent to stay with his grandparents in the countryside for six weeks, together with his siblings Nina and Elmar. For him, it feels like a disaster.
To encourage him, his mother gives him a logbook and suggests treating the stay as a trial Mars mission. Tom appoints Nina as the radio operator and Elmaras First Officer. Together, the small crew sets out to explore the “planet” Lunau— and to understand grandparentswho seem to live by rules entirely their own.
