This event is part of the Qatar-Germany Year of Culture 2017. It is organized by the German Archeological Institutein partnership with Qatar Museums, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Doha and the Goethe-Institut.
Prof. Dr Ricardo Eichmann, head of the Orient-Department of the German Archeological Institute, will give an overview for researchers, archeological experts and the general public on the excavation and survey projects done by the German Archeological Institute in Qatar.
Dipl. Ing. Alexandra Riedel, who is heading the Qatar funded excavation works in Sudan, will give a lecture about the projects of the German Archeological Institute in Sudan.
