Opening Concert
Qatar Germany Year of Culture 2017 is officially launched with an opening concert by Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. Guests at the opening night are German conductor David Niemann and the renowned German pianist Gerhard Oppitz. The program includes compositions by Qatari composers Dana Alfardan, Wael Binali, Nasser Nasseb and Haamed Hussein Naama as well as classical German music oeuvres by Ludwig van Beethoven and Richard Wagner.
