Workshop with Prof. Lutz Fügener Professor at Pforzheim University

As part of the exhibition Driven by German Design, at Al Riwaq Gallery October 3, 2017 - January 14, 2018, Qatar Germany Year of Culture, Qatar Museums, Volkswagen Group Culture, the German Embassy and the Goethe-Institut are organizing public programs to bring experts from various design disciplines to share their expertise and practical insights into their work.

The participants of this workshop will work on a general future related topic in the area of individual mobility and a concrete Porsche design project. The target of the workshop is twofold: an introduction to the two methods and approaches to transportation design to further explain the whole concept of this particular specialization field. This could introduce the approach to the starting change of paradigms for individual mobility on a global scale. The participants will receive a theoretical introduction, work on practical tasks in groups and discuss and present their works together. The results of the workshop will be presented within the exhibition.

Qatar Museums and the Goethe-Institut invite design professionals from Qatar, especially those with a particular interest in car design to apply to participate in this cross-cultural workshop which will also include design students from Germany. Young creatives and design students are especially welcome to apply.
