Workshop by Inga Steinmetz
The German Embassy Doha and the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region cooperate with the Ministry of Culture and Sports to inform the audience of the Qatari capital on the German book market and present selected books in German, English and Arabic. The Doha International Book Fair takes place at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Centre from 29 November to 5 December 2017. During the fair various talks and presentations will take place as part of a varied program offered by the German institutions.
German manga artist
Inga Steinmetz visits the Doha International Book Fair to present her work as a manga author. In a workshop for teenagers and adults she shows how to develop a character for a manga. She introduces into different techniques of drawing moods such as sadness, anger, surprise, and joy. The participants will be provided with easy steps to follow to develop their own character as a first step to become a manga artist themselves.
