German Weeks 2025
Entry Requirements

The Darwin German Week ticket competition will open on1st October (01:00 PM GMT+11) and run until 05th October 2025 (11:59 PM GMT+11). Entries prior to or after those dates are not valid. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these conditions. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  1. The competition is restricted to Facebook users.
  2. No purchase necessary. Winners will not be required to pay to enter the competition.
  3. Only one entry per person is accepted. Double entries will be excluded from the competition.
  4. Winners will be notified by 06th October 2025. The winners will be contacted by E-mail.The result of the prize decision is final, and no negotiation will be entered into.
  5. The value of the prize is not exchangeable or redeemable for cash, credit or any other goods or services.
  6. The promoter (Darwin German Week), other entities and agencies associated with this competition and each of their officers, agents, employees and immediate family are ineligible to enter.
  7. No responsibility will be taken by the promoter for any ineligible or lost entries or entries submitted before 1st October (01:00 PM GMT+11) or after 05th October 2025 (11:59 PM GMT+11) Entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions, are incomplete or submitted/received by the promoter outside the competition time frame, will be declared void.
  8. Each entrant shall enter the competition by sending an E-mail to Gabriele.urban@goethe.de using the subject line “Fifty Fifty”.
  9. Acceptance of the prize is deemed to be acceptance by the winner of these terms and conditions and approval to use the winner’s name for publicity purposes, unless specifically requested by the winner not to do so at the time of accepting the prize.
  10. If the competition does not run for its duration due to (but not limited to) computer viruses, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the promoter's control that corrupts or affects administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the competition, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
  11. The promoter will not be responsible for: (a) Malfunction, delay or traffic congestion on any computer online system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software or website. (b) Failure of any entry to be received by the promoter as a result of those matters listed under 10. (a). (c) Any injury or damage to entrants or any other person related to or resulting from participation in the competition or downloading any materials relating to the competition.
  12. This is a giveaway by the Goethe-Institut Australia and has not been sponsored, organised or supported by Meta (Facebook).
  13. The participant permits the Goethe-Institut Australia to process the personal data entered for the implementation of the competition by the Goethe-Institut Australia, insofar as this is necessary for the implementation of the competition and / or the exercise of the rights of use according to Section 4 and 8, in return for being able to participate in the competition. Personal data are name, contact details and photos as well as other information about the person that the participant provides themselves
  14. The Goethe-Institut Australia accepts no liability whatsoever for the loss or incompleteness of the data transmitted by the participant, unless the loss or incompleteness is due to intentional or grossly negligent conduct on the part of the Goethe-Institut Australia or its employees. This also applies to the disclosure of information by third parties due to technical errors in data transmission and/or unauthorised access.
