Each year, the PASCH initiative of the Goethe-Institut Cameroon offers committed German teachers from the eight PASCH schools in Cameroon and Gabon the opportunity to apply for scholarship programs in Germany. These programs encourage the professional and personal development of German teachers and strengthen international exchanges in the field of German as a foreign language.

Accompanying teacher scholarship

As part of the accompanying teacher scholarship, a selected teacher accompanies young scholarship holders from PASCH schools on ‘courses for young people’ in Germany. As well as accompanying the young people on their trip, the teachers take part in themed further training courses focusing on ‘German as a foreign language for young people’.

In addition, there are regular calls for applications for other scholarship programs – further training courses with different focuses, conferences, or language courses in Germany.

Participants are selected several months before the start of each programme. To be eligible to apply, participants generally need to have a proven language level of B1+ or B2+ and have been teaching German for at least one year at a PASCH school.
