As part of the reorganisation of its library, the Goethe-Institut Kamerun is offering library internships to continue its contribution to the professionalisation of the library sector. Three (03) different types of internships are available to interested people and institutions:
Aimed at secondary school pupils (Première/lower sixth, Terminale/Upper sixth) who wish to discover how a library works and its various activities.
Duration: 2 weeks (June)
Objective: to immerse oneself in the world of the library, participate in simple daily tasks, and discover the services offered to the public.
For students enrolled in a course related to books, libraries, archives or documentation.
Duration: 12 weeks depending on the requirements of the institution (July - September)
Objective: to deepen knowledge, participate in concrete projects (cataloguing, events, welcoming the public, promoting the collections, etc.)
- Professional internship / retraining
Open to people in vocational training, people changing careers or job seekers.
Duration: 12 weeks (October - May)
Objective: to acquire practical skills through personalised support and integration into the library's daily tasks.
