Born on September 12, 1994, in Deuk, located in the Centre Region of Cameroon, Thérèse AYOUNG grew up and completed her primary and secondary education in Cameroon, specifically in the town of Bafia. After earning her Baccalaureate A4 in Spanish, Thérèse AYOUNG decided to pursue higher education in Yaoundé. She enrolled in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Yaounde I, majoring in Iberian Literature, where she remained until her passion for the arts ultimately led her to change course. From a young age, Thérèse was curious about how people appeared on television. In 2015, she heard about a casting call for a film and decided to attend—marking the beginning of a promising artistic career. Trained in acting at the Othni Theatre Laboratory in Yaoundé, Thérèse AYOUNG has frequently been cast in both theatre and film projects. As the winner of the GOETHE DECOUVERTE 2024 competition, she received training in directing. Drawing on her experience and her fleeting yet profound vision of life, she aims to contribute to the development of theatre in Cameroon. She firmly believes that theatre is a powerful and genuine weapon against human and social flaws.
Les fleures du bien by Alain 5 BA'ABA is a rich and varied anthology that explores the inner journey of humanity, constantly shaped by its surroundings. Deeply evocative and written in an accessible style, these searing poems pierce the reader’s soul, evoking pain and tears, emotional discomfort, and doubt. They confront dark realities with a disconcerting and sarcastic irony—bordering on moral provocation yet grounded in a strong sense of ethics.
This collection also celebrates simple, admirable acts that could make life more beautiful, encouraging people to keep the engine of joy running—while remaining human in a globalized world that increasingly sidelines humanity in favor of machines capable not only of updating humans, but potentially replacing them altogether.
Les fleures du bien is far from a gratuitous venture. Beneath its bursts of pain and chaos, the author powerfully denounces social malaise and the dehumanization of mankind.
