Teaching German as a foreign language often involves high expectations, limited time, mixed-ability groups and constant pressure to perform, for both learners and teachers. In this seminar, we will take a practical look at how German as a foreign language lessons can be made less stressful without compromising on quality or learning effectiveness.
The focus is on practical, easy-to-implement strategies that help reduce stress, structure lessons more clearly and make learning processes more sustainable. Among other things, we will look at:
- setting realistic learning objectives
- simple routines that create a sense of security and tranquility
- effective learning activities that require minimal preparation
- a mindful approach to mistakes, pace and expectations
The seminar encourages participants to reflect on their own teaching practice and highlights ways in which a less perfectionist approach can lead to greater impact, motivation and a sense of calm for both teachers and learners.
