"ሠርጉ"

" ሠርጉ" which has got an Amharic title “The Weeding” is a short story by primarily known as Maxim Gorky a Russian writer and political activist.

This story has been translated into Amharic by Alem Hailu and published under the title ""የከሃዲው እናት እና ሌሎችም ምርጥ የጣሊያን ታሪኮች -The Mother of a Traitor and other best Italian stories.
The story is about ab old man whose one eye is blinded, travelled by train to attend a wedding ceremony of his grandchild. On his way he is telling the passengers with him his past life and how he meet his wife.

This story will be read in our Goethe Reading Club series and be posted on the YouTube channel “Eneho Tube”.
