Open Call OPEN CALL "AFRICAN LEADERS" DOCUMENTARY FILMPROJECT
Are you a young documentary filmmaker with a strong idea on the subject “African Leader” that you would like to develop further? Then please send us your project idea by November 1st and maybe you will be selected.
Selected projects will be invited to participate in a one-week development workshop in February 2017 at the Goethe-Institut in Addis Ababa. The workshops shall help directors to further develop their project idea with professional consultants and mentors, to strengthen the idea of co-producing, to develop presentation material and rehearse the pitch to commissioning editors. The aim is to pitch the project in May 2017 at the DOKfest Munich.
The initiative is a cooperation between the Goethe-Institut Addis Ababa, DOKfest Munich, Foreign Ministry Germany and Perfect Shot Films and supported by professional filmmakers from Africa and Europe.
The deadline for submission is November 1st 2016.
Please submit the following information (preferable as one pdf file):
- project outline, title, synopsis, protagonist, visual approach (max. 3000 characters)
- motivation letter (max. 500 characters)
- short biography and filmography (max. 500 characters)
- example of previous work (online link)
