On October 27 at 4 pm, the theatre company „artig“ will present an afternoon full of Improvisational Theatre in the Goethe-Institut Addis Ababa.

An empty room and our imagination – that’s all we need!
Two actors on an empty stage, without properties, without a script, without already existing roles, without precasted plans. That promises one thing: Here & now everything is possible!
Do you also see this park in front of us? And the bench besides the oak tree? Who could be sitting there? What is he holding in his hand? Who is he awaiting? And the play can begin! Together with the audience we’ll get to know the world of improvised theatre this evening and arouse stories, that hadn’t been discovered yet.
Improvisational Theatre is a type of theatre, which emerges live out of the interaction between actors and audience. The characters, the dialogues, the actions and the stories will be inspired by hails from the audience and created by the actors right at the moment.  Magdalena Haftner and Lino Kleingarn from the theatre company “artig” will show, what spontaneity really means!

„For a play to be good, it must have a powerful plot, characters, humour and above all, a performance that will stay with you. The improvisational theatre performance by Artig, an Austrian group from Vienna, held recently at Max Mueller Bhavan-Goethe Institut, had all this.“ (The Hindu, Mumbai, November 2013)
