Workshop

Information about the types of objects, materials and formats in a book collection together with the condition of bookblocks and bindings will generate data for conservation politics of a library. Single books are being examined to create statistics for a whole collection. The data will be an important tool for deciding the preservation and conservation strategies.
In the course, data collection will be explained and the participants will practice on the condition and damage survey sheets themselves.
This course addresses senior staff in library and museums as well as students in the field of preservation.
