The Onleihe is the Goethe-Institut's digital library. More than 35,000 German-language e-books, audio books, films, materials for German learners, magazines and newspapers are available to download from the Onleihe.
The Goethe-Institut Tokyo will be closed over the holiday period. The reception and language course office will be closed from December 24 to January 4, and the library from December 21 to January 5. The scheduled exams on January 4 and 6 will take place as planned. We wish you happy holidays and a wonderful start to the new year!
We want to make it easier for an international audience to access contemporary German-language literature, non-fiction and books for children and young people. Since its foundation 50 years ago, our funding programme has financially supported the publication of around 7,000 books in 45 languages.
