This quote from the movie Oh boy reflects the emotional and mental disorientation of the following film protagonists, which will be the main topic of the new film series. The genre of coming-of-age deals with the life stage of each individual, in which not only the new experiences, such as the first love, the first kiss, the first party and the first heartbreak plays a role, but especially the self-discovery.
The way to adulthood forces individuals to experiment with styles and to search for answers, while testing right and wrong actions within the rules of a society. They film series is build up chronologically according to the age of the protagonists.
All these films show the small and big obstacles of becoming an adult. Although the cases in the movies are different, at the end of the day they all come to the same conclusion. That the rough times are defining us to become a better version of ourselves, while we have an influence on our personal luck.
