Benni is a girl with unbridled energy. She is a ‘system crasher' - a term is used to describe children who break every single rule; children who refuse to accept any kind of structure and who gradually fall through the cracks in Germany's child and welfare services. All she wants is to be able to live with her mother again: a woman who is totally unable to cope with her daughter's incalculable behaviour.

This screening is open to the public and has a reserved number of seats in compliance with social distancing regulations. To reserve your seat, submit your name and mobile number with “cinema” as the subject to culture-windhoek@goethe.de before the screening date.

Cinemaverse, a project by the Goethe-Institut Namibia, will throughout the course of 2020 screen art-house films from in and out of Africa. Curated by well-known and multi-talented filmmakers, Florian Schott and Nocks Chatiza.
