Students and challenges

Remote, Control - a theatre production directed by Ashwyn Mberi, is taking the stage at the Theatre School of Namibia for two nights. The play is a story about four college students trying to navigate their relationships against the backdrop of social challenges such as misogyny, gender roles and gender based violence.

Set in present day Africa, the play also interrogates the influences of media and technology on our day to day behaviours. Very much in tune with the current times this “Afro Millennial” production delves deep into what it means to be a modern African youth without shying away from current affairs and trends.

Cast: Anne Hambuda, Beauty Boois, Dafe Disi, Ashwyn Mberi.
