Interacting with the audience
Picture book reading at the Goethe-Institute Namibia aims to create a reading culture in young children and inspire creativity in their young growing minds.
This part of the workshop will explore the fundamentals of interacting with the audience. Building on the basics of picture book reading, participants will learn how to interact with children from different age groups and cultural backgrounds.
Different techniques on having children focus and participate in the story will be explored during the workshop. Various methods of questioning, presenting, gaming and other techniques will also be explored to equip participants for every interactive possibility. This ensures that every child goes home after learning something.
