“This is Cruise Radio, your good vibes station!!

The Cruise Radio Station is the imaginative radio station that was born out of innovation, curiosity and thirst for knowledge. These features and characteristics were displayed by the young German language learners at the Corona Secondary School Agbara while taking part in the Sub-Saharan regional workshop “Laboradio” which was adapted and configured to promote information collection, content creation and dissemination in the society through the use of the radio. Passion for new knowledge mixed with the intention to build a possible career out of hobbies are the basic prerequisite to partake in the 3 day workshop which began on the 5th and ended on the 7th February 2021.

The Laboradio workshop is a regional initiative of the Goethe-Institut sub-Sahara Africa, which was organized and executed within the framework of the PASCH-Program. Broadcast Radio Master Class Nigeria Limited as represented by the highly motivated facilitators Fola Afolayan and Gbenga Aborowa furnished the young participants with basic knowledge of journalism and radio broadcasting, which include but are not limited to: Basic radio production, interview technics, Content analysis and research.

The 15 young participants from the host school, Corona Secondary School Agbara will not forgot this wonderful experience in a rush. They already look forward to opportunities to be able to apply the acquired knowledge to a real life situation, either as a profession or in different private encounters.”
