1. General conditions for participation
The course participant must be at least 18 years old.
2. Payment terms
Payment of the course fee can be made by credit card directly when booking in the webshop.
3. Prices
3.1. The prices valid at the time of registration in the current course brochure of the Goethe-Institut are part of the contract.
3.2. If the course participant arranges for a rebooking (e.g. change of course date or course change), the first rebooking is free of charge. For every further rebooking, a fee of 10% of the course fee is due.
3.3. On presentation of your student card or city pass or for stayers, we grant a 10% discount on onsite and online courses. You will receive the discount code by email upon request. The discount must be stated at the time of enrolment. No discounts can be granted afterwards.
4. Resignation
4.1. If the course participant cannot take part in the course, the following cancellation conditions apply: If the enrolment is cancelled in writing before the 2nd course evening, the course fee will be reimbursed. In the event of cancellation after the above deadline, no fee will be refunded.
4.2. The declaration of withdrawal must be submitted in writing (by post or email). Access to the GI is decisive for compliance with the deadline.
5. Classification / class size
5.1. The assignment to a course level is based on the placement test at the Goethe-Institute.
5.2. Our courses generally have a maximum capacity of 16 participants, with exceptions allowing up to 18 participants.. If the number of participants is too low at the start of the course, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone this course. In this case, we offer the participants the option to switch to another course or to receive the entire course fee back. Unfortunately, only those courses can take place that have the minimum number of participants at the end of the enrolment period. In order to avoid last minute cancellations, we ask participants to register within the specified period.
6. Obligations of the course participant
The course participant is obliged to adhere to the course and house rules applicable at the institute.
7. Liability of the Goethe-Institut / Force Majeure
The liability of the GI and its employees is limited to intent and gross negligence. The Goethe-Institut is also not liable for the failure of its services due to force majeure (e.g. natural disasters, fire, floods, war, official orders and all other circumstances that are beyond the control of the contracting parties).
