The Goethe-Institut Wellington is your hub for all things related to the teaching and learning of German in New Zealand. As a partner for every institution and individual invested in German education, we offer a range of services and resources to support teachers and promote the language across the country.

BKD (Bildungskooperation Deutsch)

Our BKD program is designed to collaborate with schools interested in teaching German or already offering German language education. Through BKD, we provide in-service training, short day courses, and longer seminars and conferences to enhance the teaching skills of educators.

PASCH Initiative

The PASCH initiative fosters a network of seven PASCH schools in New Zealand: Lynfield College in Auckland, Pakuranga College in Auckland, Heretaunga College in Upper Hutt, Burnside High School in Christchurch, Ashburton College, Columba College in Dunedin, and John McGlashan College in Dunedin. These PASCH schools serve as beacons of German education, receiving benefits and knowledge that they pass on to other schools in their regions. Read more about this initiative here.
