Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing language education in schools. Intelligent tutoring systems, generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, and adaptive learning platforms are finding their way into the classroom, presenting teachers and schools with new pedagogical and ethical questions.
The Goethe-Institut invites you to a short lecture followed by a panel discussion, where experts from the Nordic countries will discuss the opportunities and challenges of AI in language teaching in schools.
Künstliche Intelligenz verändert die schulische Sprachbildung grundlegend. Intelligente Tutorensysteme, generative KI-Tools wie ChatGPT und adaptive Lernplattformen halten Einzug in den Unterricht und stellen Lehrkräfte und Schulen vor neue pädagogische und ethische Fragen.
Das Goethe-Institut lädt zu einem Kurzvortrag mit anschließender Paneldiskussion ein, bei dem Expert*innen aus den nordischen Ländern über die Chancen und Herausforderungen von KI im schulischen Sprachunterricht diskutieren.

- Panel discussion with:
Dr. Marian Flanagan, associate professor of English and translation studies at the University of Copenhagen, with a special focus on translation technologies
Terje Pedersen, teacher at Kleppestø Ungdomsskole, awarded for innovative AI integration in Norwegian school teaching
