Perla is an exiled single mother and artist living in 1980s Vienna. When her former partner comes back into their lives after being released from prison, she makes the perilous journey back to communist Czechoslovakia. Torn between the past and present, Perla finds herself spiralling into a future that threatens her newly-formed family.
