Tuesday, 3rd December 2024

“The Hub for Artists from Sudan” project, established by Goethe-Institut in 2023, supports artists and cultural managers to continue their valuable work, following the disruption to their spaces and networks in Sudan, amid the ongoing conflict. Utilizing technology to bridge the gap caused by exile/ relocating, this year’s artists who are spread out between Egypt and Kenya, will use the platform to connect and reflect on their journeys and new experiences within the first hour. Following that, they will be joined by last year’s artists, currently based out of safer parts of Sudan, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tunisia, KSA and UAE; to gain further insights on life, career, and aspirations of artistic and cultural work in different locations and contexts.
