Are you employed as a teacher of German? The language department at the Goethe-Institut New York works together with teachers, schools and other institutions of higher education in order to strengthen the German teaching profession in the New York region and in the following states covered by our Netzwerk Ost: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachussetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida. 


The Goethe-Institut offers more than 1000 professional development courses for German teachers all over the world and online.

The German American Partnership Program (GAPP) is a non-profit high school exchange program between schools in Germany and the United States, sponsored by the German Foreign Office and by the US Department of State.
