Creating new narratives around cultural heritage
Non-profit heritage organisations managing tangible or intangible cultural heritage sites in Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Develop compelling narratives with interdisciplinary artist groups. Up to €55,000 per organisation.

Audience development grants

Expanding reach of heritage narratives
Four funding streams for touring, mobility, online presentations, and innovative audience development. Open to heritage organisations, artists, festivals, and cultural operators seeking to present Southern African heritage co-productions to wider audiences across Africa, Europe, and globally.

Creative practitioner grants

Artists collaborating on heritage narratives
Creative and artistic practitioners from Southern African countries and EU developing heritage narratives with selected organisations. Interdisciplinary co-productions across multiple artistic disciplines. Individual artists and groups up to 3 people eligible. €10,000-15,000 grants.
