Description

Students throughout Uruguay can now learn German - even in remote villages. The lessons are taught digitally - from the capital, Montevideo.

Uruguay has been relying on digital schooling for years, and the Goethe-Institut is using this structure for a pilot project to offer German lessons together with the Ministry of Education. At the same time, it is training local teachers to teach the language. This is being financed with funds from the German Education Offensive of the German Foreign Office in Berlin.
