German-Greek restaurant owner Zinos doesn't have it easy: first his girlfriend Nadine moves to Shanghai for work, then he suffers a slipped disc. Out of his distress, he hires the eccentric top chef Zayn. However, this leads to his Hamburg pub "Soul Kitchen" increasingly turning into a hip restaurant. Events come to a head and suddenly Zinos has to defend his "Soul Kitchen" against real estate sharks, the tax office and his gambling brother.
