1. Your Interests and Strengths
In this chapter, learners explore their personal strengths and interests. They reflect on the skills needed for their interests and identify what they are particularly good at.
2. The CV (Curriculum Vitae)
This chapter shows learners what information a CV should include and how it is structured. They create their own CV and present it.
3. Dual Vocational Training
In this chapter, learners discover how the dual vocational training system works in Germany. They also practice relevant vocabulary and learn interesting, up-to-date facts and figures about dual vocational training.
4. Professions and Occupational Fields
Learners are introduced to a wide range of occupational fields, helping them orient themselves when searching for an apprenticeship. They also learn which sectors in Germany have the highest demand for trainees and skilled workers.
5. Finding a Dual Apprenticeship
In this chapter, learners analyze a job advertisement and learn what information it contains. They also research current apprenticeship opportunities on relevant websites that match their interests.
6. The Application Cover Letter
Learners learn how to structure a cover letter for an apprenticeship and what information it should include. The focus is on convincing the training company and clearly expressing motivation. With the help of examples and a checklist, learners write their own application letter.
7. Reflection
Learners review whether and how they have achieved the learning objectives. They also reflect on what they have learned about dual vocational training through the workbook.
8. Vocabulary
Learners create their own personal glossary.
