Uta Staiger is Associate Professor of European Studies and Director of the European Institute at University College London (UCL). Since 2017, she has also served as an adviser to UCL’s leadership on European research and higher education policy. Holding a PhD from the University of Cambridge, her work explores the intersections of modern European literature, politics and philosophy. She is the curator of the Goethe-Institut Barcelona’s Hannah Arendt Days, scheduled to take place on 27 and 28 November 2025.
