Mücahit Türk
Mücahit Türk, born in 1997 in Neuwied, studies at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig and writes prose and poetry. He has published in various anthologies, most recently in the art magazine Common Pink. His texts revolve around the multiple subject that locates itself in the gaps, fractures, and empty spaces of language. In spring 2024, as part of TRANSLETTING, he took part in a literary exchange with Columbia University, the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research, and Bard College. Also in 2024, he was awarded the Wortmeldungen Förderpreis for his text “Holunder–”. He is currently working on his first novel.
As part of the ON THE ROAD project, Mücahit Türk and Louise Kenn travel across the United States in the spring of 2026. Throughout their journey, they will share regular updates in the form of notes, in-depth texts, and visual content documenting their experiences.
