Festival Retas Budaya

Festival Retas Budaya: "The Future of Open GLAM" was held online from 6-8 November 2020.

The 3-day festival was filled with seminar, workshops, and talks exploring the potential of open cultural data in cultural institutions.

Best Works

From September - October 2020, Retas Budaya asked the public to create new works from open cultural data.

Participation was divided into four tracks: Stories from Data, Games from Data, Open Design Remix, Citizen Science & Open Data.

Stories from Data © Elex Media Komputindo

The Book "Stories from Data" is Out Now!

Cerita dari Data (Stories from Data) is a collection of top ten short stories inspired by image and text collections from GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums) insitutions. The competition is a collaboration between Goethe-Institut Indonesien, Gramedia Writing Project, and Elex Media Komputindo. It is also part of Retas Budaya Festival which were held online on 6-8 November 2020. Cerita dari Data invites us to delve into various cultural and historical aspects of Indonesia through lighthearted yet fascinating stories.
