We hear five stories out of Berlin: a woman who plots a great escape on the eve of her sister’s wedding, another who reflects on an old passion while discovering a new one, a man who finds himself in uncharted waters after buying his first pets, a storyteller who thinks back to her mom’s words of wisdom, and a woman who plays with fire, literally.

These stories were told live on June 19, 2020, at The Bear’s “Eve of the Champs” storytelling event, presented by KCRW Berlin at Pfefferberg Haus 13 in Germany’s capital. And they have one thing in common: the allure of turning one’s own mistakes into funny and reflective stories.
