Responding to the theme of this year's festival, Equal Opportunities in Science, the Goethe-Institut in Vietnam decided to change its implementation format so that the festival could be accessible to all children, students and science enthusiasts with inspiration from teachers, educational activists and experts from social organizations, who became "Science Ambassadors" of the Science Film Festival in Vietnam and who share a common vision and passion for science communication.

In addition to the long-time partners THD Education Solutions Company, Information and Forecasting Center (EIFC), Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (VNIES), the General Science Library of Ho Chi Minh City and YouthForce 2030, the Goethe-Institut selected three groups of STEM teachers to spread the festival and develop experimental activities to accompany the screenings so it would be more accessible for Vietnamese audiences: SCiLIFE TEAClub (SCIENCE in LIFE), ScienceX and CCD.

This new way of implemention let each teacher and student become a "Science Ambassador" in their own right and motivated them to be passionate and curious about science, technology and nature. In 2022, the Science Film Festival reached 24 485 participants across Vietnam, representing a return to pre-pandemic numbers once again.
