Harun Farocki: Between Two Wars
Harun Farocki: Between Two Wars

The film analyses 17th century Dutch and Flemish paintings to explore how objects have developed into consumer products. The documentary sections of Still Life, which observe how products are photographed for advertising, still show people carrying out skilled work, while Farocki’s more recent film A New Product (2012), screening at the Showroom on 25.02. (see Brave New Work) focuses on people whose job it is to talk about work.

Germany / France / Belgium / Austria 1997, colour, 58min. With English subtitles. Director: Harun Farocki.

Series: Harun Farocki

Please note that we are now definitely showing this film on Monday, 23 February, as announced in our printed brochure.
