Reise nach Jerusalem (musical chairs) is a game based on luck: You have to be in the right place at the right time or there wont be any chair left for you. Alice has been unemployed for a long period. Her friends are married, have children, and have built careers while she is writing job applications with her broken notebook. She survives with gas vouchers from jobs in market research institutes, which she exchanges for money because she has no car. Family and friends have no idea of how deep in trouble Alice is. Her persistent search for social acceptance cannot save her from the increasing isolation. Time runs out, rents are not paid, banks are calling, and more obstacles and unfortunate circumstances come her way. Should she keep playing the game along or just let go?
