Recruitment Requirements / Teacher Qualification
If you
- have an Australian work permit or Australian citizenship
- have a subject-related university degree, preferably in German as a foreign language and/or German studies, possibly other foreign language philology
- be a native speaker of German or have native speaker competence in German,
- have GFL teaching experience, preferably in the adult sector
- are an enthusiastic and committed teacher
- have a valid Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate
then you may be the person we are looking for.
Induction / Observation Phase
- Observation of at least four course meetings
- Carrying out at least one trial teaching unit of 1 teaching unit each under the supervision of the supervising GI teacher (with pre- and post-lesson debriefing)
Kindly note that the Goethe-Institut considers only those applicants who hold valid Australian working rights and are able to commit to a minimum tenure of 12 months.
