Award-winning jazz pianist and composer Florian Ross is a musical explorer whose work combines heart and mind, feeling and intellect. He studied in Cologne, London and New York, made his first album as a leader in 1998, and in the meantime has recorded 18 albums, with more on the way.

Flying in from Cologne, Florian Ross will be a feature artist at this year’s Sydney Con Jazz Fest where he will present music of a breathtaking variety. Working closely with local musicians, he will lead the big-band work 8 Ball with the Con Jazz Orchestra, and perform his work Architexture with a group of selected jazz talents.

Other artists at the festival include Andrea Keller, Eric Harland, Gian Slater, Zela Margossian and many more – a true celebration of Australian and international jazz. Tickets are sold for the performances separately, so you can pick and choose what you’d like to see across the day.
