2026 German Teachers Conference for NSW

The 2026 German Teachers Conference for NSW is a special opportunity for German teachers across the state to come together and help shape a renewed, teacher‑led network. A space is emerging for collaboration, exchange and support — and you are warmly invited to be part of it.

During the day the focus will be on:

• Strategies for strengthening the profile of German in your school.
• A "Marktplatz" where teachers share and present innovative teaching strategies that they find useful.
• Embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, histories and cultures into German teaching and learningfrom K-12.
• The latest information and opportunities available from the Goethe-Institut.

Teaching standards addressed: 2.1.2,2.4.2,7.4.2

The aim is to provide a starting point for renewed professional connections — created and carried by teachers themselves. If you would like to share a classroom idea or contribute a short presentation, you are very welcome to do so. You can indicate this directly in the registration form.

There is no registration fee, lunch will be provided, so please just bring yourself, a laptop and any resources you'd love to share. Feel free to dress up. It is a Friday after all.

Teachers at schools in regional NSW can apply for a travel grant through the Goethe-Institut. Please make sure to complete the application form by March 6.
