More scope for pronunciation practice in German lessons — and in a way that’s fun! In this workshop, we’ll explore the worksheets based on the music videos ‘Mario und die Muckemacher’ and discover how music, rhythm and simple pronunciation exercises can enrich German as a second language (DaF) lessons. Together, we’ll try out selected activities and gather ideas on how the materials can be used flexibly, creatively and with minimal effort in a variety of teaching contexts.
The materials were developed in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Milan: with the contribution of Anna Maria Baldermann and Adrian Lewerken, under the academic supervision of Prof. Dr Peggy Katelhön from the Università degli studi di Milano, together with the Berlin-based band Muckemacher — Verena Roth and Florian Erlbeck — and the singer Mario Carlucci. The accompanying worksheets were created by teaching expert Alisa Tellmann.
