German Language Day at Brisbane German Week
Workshop | Join Us for an Afternoon of German Language, Culture, and Community
-
The Precinct, Fortitude Valley
As part of German Week Brisbane, the Goethe-Institut is coming to Brisbane!
Whether you teach German, are learning German, are thinking about learning German, or are simply curious about the German language and culture, come along, join in, and spend a relaxed afternoon with us.
We are especially looking forward to meeting and talking with German teachers. Of course, students, parents, and anyone interested in German are also warmly welcome.
PROGRAM
4:00 PM | Wuschel Workshop for Children
Have you met Wuschel yet? In this fun introductory workshop, children will get to know the popular character Wuschel and discover their first words in German along the way. Through games, movement, and interactive activities, participants will experience how enjoyable learning German can be.
The workshop is primarily aimed at primary school-aged children, but it is open to anyone who would like to try German in a relaxed and creative way.
5:00 PM | German Language Trivia
How much do you know about the German, Germany, and the fascinating world of language learning? Find out! In our trivia session, Matthias and Jelena will put your knowledge to the test with engaging, surprising, and entertaining questions.
It’s not just about getting the right answers, but also about having fun, sharing ideas, and perhaps discovering something new along the way.
6:00 PM | Pretzel Reception
To round off the event, we invite you to enjoy a pretzel with us. Take the opportunity to chat with our team and other German enthusiasts, ask questions, exchange ideas, and make new connections.
The event will be conducted in English. Participation is free of charge. As places are limited, we kindly ask you to register in advance.
Registration deadline: 5 October, or earlier if booked out.
