Sustainability
The main theme of the competition is sustainability. For some years now, the term “sustainability” has been regularly associated with the word “development”. Have you ever heard of sustainable development? The United Nations (UN) defines the term as living today in a way that does not compromise the lives of tomorrow's generations. It's about ensuring that each generation thinks about the next. Why is this important? Because future generations and our planet can only survive if we live in a sustainable, future-looking way. Sustainability means living today with tomorrow in mind.
Sustainability is a very important principle of action. That's why the United Nations have drawn up a plan for 2030. This plan aims to achieve 17 goals in at least 3 areas of life: environmental, economic and social. In your opinion, is culture one of them?
 

Theme: I Am Shaping Tomorrow’s World Today!

Your assignment: Produce a creative text that addresses the theme “I Am Shaping Tomorrow’s World Today!” Whether you're telling an exciting story, writing a catchy slam text, making a short film or conceiving an innovative animated movie, let your creativity flow! Break the boundaries between genres and find your own personal voice!
 
Competition in two phases:

1. Submission of entries: Send us your entry as a video or audio file.
2. Final: the best entries will be selected and their authors invited to Yaoundé to perform in front of a jury and an audience. Another exciting challenge awaits you, putting your creativity to the test once again. To prepare for the final, all finalists are entitled to a writing and speaking workshop.

You can win a place at the 2025 summer camp in Cameroon. 15 places are available.
Lots of other great prizes await you.
 

• You are a student in the “Série A” class.
• Write your entry and present it in German.
• Send your entry as a video (short film, animated film, etc.) or audio (slam, podcast, etc.) by 07.03.2025.
• Your video or audio must be no longer than 3 minutes.
• You can enter the competition on your own or in a team of two with a classmate.
• You can ask your teacher to help you with your entry, but you will present it on your own, or with your classmate if you worked in a team.

How can you prepare for the competition?

To help you prepare, we've put together a series of online events and links.

Online events
Starting in mid-January, we will be holding a series of online meetings for you and your teacher:

1. Workshops for students: Get tips and tricks for creative writing and designing your presentation.
2. Information sessions for teachers: Dear teachers, if you'd like to give your students more support, you can take part in our information meetings. You'll learn more about the theme and how the competition works, so you'll be even better equipped to support your students on site.

Dates for the online meetings will be announced in early January.

They'll help you and your teacher find the information you need on a wide range of topics, such as waste management, recycling and much more. All these resources are in German. “
