After an absence of two years, the 20th Edition of the European Film Festival in Ethiopia will take place at VAMDAS Entertainment Movie Theatre during the first three weekends of May 2022. The two themes that the films of this year's festival deal with are "strong women" and "crossing borders".
This year’s festival showcases 18 prime movies selected by the following participating European countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden as well as a movie selected by the EU Delegation to the African Union.
The German film "Im Feuer" will be shown on May 14 at 7 pm.
The broad selection of movies portrays Europe’s diversity in arts, culture and history. The Festival shall also revolve around the values that Europe wishes to promote: peace, dialogue, tolerance and compassion.
