Goethe-Institut Äthiopien is hosting a German movie night on July 1 at 6 PM. Are you a lover of foreign films? Do you study the German language? Or are you looking for something cozy to do on a Friday evening, then come to the screening of ‘Fack ju Göthe’ and enjoy a German comedy film.

Fack ju Göthe is a 2013 comedy directed by Bora Dağtekin, starring Elyas M'Barek and Karoline Herfurth. The plot goes something like this, bank robber Zeki Müller has just been let out of prison. Upon his release, he goes to retrieve the money he stole in order to repay a debt, but his friend buried it in a construction site. During Zeki's time in prison, the construction project was completed and his money is now buried beneath the new gymnasium. Although unqualified, has no choice but to pass himself off as a substitute teacher at Goethe Comprehensive School, thus providing the German educational system with one more problem. After the young man unwillingly embarks on a teaching career, he meets Lisi, a passionate, but unassertive teacher at Goethe High, who is largely ignored and bullied by her students. She shapes him into a teacher and he helps her gain the respect of her students. Would a romance develop between the pair? Come and find out!
