Als Hitler das Rosa Kaninchen stahl is a 2019 drama based on the novel by Judith Kerr, which was published in 1971 under the original title When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit and directed by Caroline Link and starring Oliver Masucci, Carla Juri and Marinus Hohmann. 1933 Berlin- Anna is nine years old when her life changes radically. To escape the Nazis, her father Arthur Kemper, a well-known Jewish journalist, has to flee abroad. His family - Anna, her twelve-year-old brother Max and their mother Dorothea - follows him to Switzerland a short time later. Anna has to leave almost everything behind, including her beloved pink stuffed rabbit, and face a new life full of challenges and hardships in a foreign country. A touching story about parting, confidence and what it means to be a family.
