Burning life

For March Film Night in the spirit of March 8 (women’s day) the action-filled film ‘Burning life’ where both protagonists are women will be screened.

Anna and Lisa are brought together by a fateful encounter. Lisa robs a bank for the first time in her life, she wants to avenge her father, who was driven to suicide by a ruthless bank. The gun falls out of her hand and at the feet of Anna, who is running away from her husband and actually wants to make a career as a swing singer, Anna surprisingly jumps to Lisa’s side.

Anna and Lisa plan a series of bank robberies in the desolate eastern states of a newly unified Germany. They quickly become the most popular gangster duo of German postwar history, hunted by the police, but viewed as present-day female Robin Hoods by those in need
